Street Feast: Dalston Yard
It's the final weekend of Dalston's mighty Street Feast's - head down for a typically raucous celebration of the capital's finest vendors.
Standing at the forefront of the London night market scene, Street Feast specialises in converting vacant spaces, including car parks, warehouses and even old tube stations, into temporary hives of activity. This nocturnal shindig bursts with drink and music but, most importantly, street food: affordable, ready-to-eat and sold by hawkers in public areas.
Alongside a rotating line-up of the capital’s finest vendors, such as the infamous Rib Man , Busan BBQ and Smokestak (along with their custom-made 4.5 tonne BBQ Smoke Train), three ‘Dalston Yard Diners’ are available, which offer covered areas with seating and table service.
Included is a wood-fire oven pizzeria from Pizza Pilgrims, a clam shack from B.O.B’s Lobster and a steak diner that offers a set menu of Cornish beef and chips. Between big names like British Street Food award-winners Yum Bun and Caribbean aficionados Mama’s Jerk, we’re convinced you’ll find something to set you taste buds alight.
Curry goat sliders are the order of the day, courtesy of Dub Street Kitchen, while the You Doughnut! ladies will be dishing out their deliciously sinful doughnut bites.
Choosing from the vast array of tasty options may prove to be thirsty work, you can wet your whistle with pint-sized cocktails, available from Rotary Cocktail Bar, thirty different types of gin from The Gin Store, or fine wines from Street Vin. Or just head to the Rum Shack for good vibes - and stay there all night.
Every Friday and Saturday, 5pm-midnight
