Wine Car Boot

Ruth Spivey, wine expert and founder of Street Vin, is bringing her knowledge and passion for wine to Kings Cross for a one-day celebration, tasting session and sale. Banish thoughts of broken bric a brac – this car boot showcases diverse selection of the best independent wine makers. Following on from the success of previous years in Hackney, Southward and even Stellenbosch, South Africa, this year will be bigger than ever, with more traders, a bigger venue and a plethora of food on offer to soak up the booze.

The ethos behind serving wine in a car park is to bring quality wine to the masses, to take wine lovers out of the supermarket and to introduce them to interesting and quirky independent wine makers. Sample and buy the best wines from indepependant suppliers. Experts will be on hand to talk you through the subtle flavours, and explain all about the grapes. You can also test out (and buy) the favourite glassware of the professionals, Zalto, and the ultimate wine gadget, Coravin (as favoured by our new favourite wine bar, Noble Rot).

As if that wasn't enough, there will also be a Drinker's Corner, and if you're brave enough to take it on, rounds of the Carr's Water Biscuit Challenge.

Advance tickets include five free samples, a specialist Govino tasting glass, and a wine carrier (to fill up with all the bottles you take home!). Tickets (without the perks) will also be available on the door.
