Kome, The Star of Kings

A taste of Los Angeles is coming to North London this summer, as street food masters Kome team up with The Star of Kings pub for a three month residency. Kome's new temporary home follows two sell-out nights at Dead Dolls House, Hoxton,  and  is  set to freshen up a sunny pub trip.

Inspired by the street food of the modern metropolis, Kome’s menu has been carefully crafted to reflect LA’s cultural diversity with dishes that originate from Korea , Peru , Mexico and Japan to name but a few. Kome's founder, Jack Davidson , keeps the menu current and fresh by constantly crossing the continents to search for inspiration. The result is a diverse selection of dishes, which combine the best flavours from different cultures, such as the Kimchi Quesidilla: freshly made tortillas filled with Gringa Dairy’s queso chichuahua, smokey pancetta and kimchi.

We recommend the Sticky Pork Belly Kome Bowl - taken from the ‘Big Girls Blouses’ section of the menu, this is a classic take on the traditional Korean rice bowl with slow cooked, tender pork belly in a sticky agave sauce with a crunch of crackling.
