The Good Egg Brunch, Cortado
One of the best places to go for brunch in North London, Cortado is a surefire way to cure even the most aggressive of hangovers.
The mother of all hangover cures hits Hoxton every weekend, as The Good Egg sets up shop in Cortado café with all-day brunches.
The Good Egg aims to provide a spread of the globe’s top brunch dishes, and have dedicated significant time and effort into the sourcing of their ingredients, which include Cotswold Legbar eggs to rare breed meats from the Franconian Sausage Company, for the greatest intensity of flavour.
The company first started life in 2013 under the wing of Kitchenette, an ‘incubator’ for food start-ups, and quickly progressed to become a regular trader at markets, such as Kerb and Feast. Winning contracts with the likes of Twitter and Downing Street, The Good Egg has moved from strength to strength by embarking on a variety of ventures; all the while maintain an informal and friendly atmosphere to each one.
Breakfast burritos and Shakshuka (a middle-eastern dish that poaches eggs in a tomato and pepper sauce) feature on the menu, as well as a host of different sandwiches . Those looking to continue the previous night’s antics can kick back with Bloody Mary while those feeling a little too tender can sip on Yumchaa teas and Allpress coffee.
