Meet District, social eatery, Peckham

A new restaurant boasting 'London's finest burgers, steaks and cocktails' opens this March in Peckham. Meet District – as its name suggests – combines fine food and drink in a relaxed, highly sociable setting.

The owners are aiming to serve up brunches as big as dinners – with an equally generous cocktail list, one that suits a midday tipple on a Monday as much as a midnight one on a Friday. Meet District is open from 10am daily, its relatively long opening hours designed to lure locals who work all hours of the day.

Although Meet District will be casual, it does have showy elements. A 'statement' bar sits ike an ornament in the middle of the room, next to an open-front kitchen. At weekends you can expect DJs and more of a party atmosphere, though food service will go on until late.
