Brain Burger with Fergus Henderson and MeatLiquor
St John's top chef Fergus Henderson and MeatLiquor London collaborate on a charity brain burger
A brain burger? Sounds odd. But when you find out that it's from Fergus Henderson, restaurant patron of St John and London dining expert, and purveyor of London's best burgers MeatLiquor, it becomes more appealing. And that's before you hear about the delicious ingredients being used inside it, including the slice of calves' brain being fried in panko breadcrumbs with Sauce Gebiche, and served in a St John bakery potato and onion roll.
It's a bold, innovative idea anyway, but what makes it particularly appealing is that it's being done as part of a package, including fries and a bespoke Awesome Merchandise apron designed by Henderson, that is being sold for £30 exclusively throughout the month of June at MeatLiquor's central London branch and its sisters, MeatMarket and MeatLiquorN1.
The ticket cost benefits Parkinson's UK - of which Henderson is a high-profile supporter, having been diagnosed with the illness when he was 32 - but tickets, which are limited to 990 in total, will sell out extremely quickly, so book as soon as you can.
