Peacocks roam: 2015 Larmer Tree Festival
There are those young, snazzy cooler-than-thou festivals, that pull in the hippest crowds, get the zingiest sponsorship deals and are Instagrammed to death.
And then there are some festivals that have a bit more heart. Larmer Tree Festival, now in its 25th year, is one of these. This small, family-oriented, independent festival Larmer Tree takes place in beautiful nineteenth century pleasure gardens: the same site as the End Of The Road Festival.
Larmer Tree Festival Line Up
This year, Welsh Crooner Tom Jones will headline, along with Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela, Reggae legend Jimmy Cliff, afro-electro coolcats Ibibio Sound Machine, Afrobeat devotee (and son of Fela) Femi Kuti, the beloved Magic Numbers and the ancient-sounding, shanty-singing folkies Bellowhead.
On the comedy stage, look out for headliners Bill Bailey, Ed Byrne and Russell Kane. Kids in tow? Larmer Tree is an award-winning family festival, and accordingly there's a host of activities to keep your little ones entertained.
