Previously known as Children’s Art Day, Children’s Art Week 2015 has a programme giving thousands of children and young people the chance to enjoy visual arts with their families, parents, teachers and carers.
Engage Children’s Art Week London
From events in galleries, art centres, museums libraries, schools and community and youth centres there’s plenty of artistic opportunities for children in London.
Last year more than 15,000 children and adults took part in over 100 events across the UK, including a riverside sketching expedition, a mini art rave, a sculpture workshop inspired by Mondrian and many others.

A free annual exhibition of work created by the young participants of the arts projects over the past year. Includes drop-in creative arts activities for children and young people.

Family Art Workshop, Fleming Collection, London
Art for children in London at these creative and diverse workshops. Create, play and let their imaginations run wild at these children’s workshops, created by artists, encouraging kids to create weird and wonderful art works using a range of crafty materials. Each event for children offers a range of different activities to keep your little ones engaged all summer All materials supplied.

Gallery @ Half Moon, Half Moon Theatre, London
This summer 2015 children can explore the exhibition A Stick in Time Reflections from childhood by Deborah Andrews. Explore the happy memories of childhood, from beach holidays to digging in the garden. The Gallery is open 10-6 each day and slots for schools are 9.45-10.45, 11-12, 1.30-2.30 and 4.30-5.30. Workshops with the artist will take place on Tues 16 June (1.30-2.30pm for schools and 4-5pm for public)

Make & Do, Camden Arts Centre, London
Children can draw for free with artist Mónica Rivas Velásquez every Sunday throughout the exhibitions at Camden Arts Centre.
14 June - 21 June
Albion Street Pop Up Art Shop, Virtue Vision, London
Kids get with creative and down with nature, with local artist Sharon Virtue at this commit art workshop. Explore the natural areas of Rotherhithe, the River, Wildlife and history of Rotherhithe. Workshops are two hours of painting, drawing and collage.
Suitable for ages 5-14.
