Dior Pop-Up, Mount Street
New Dior shop on Mount Street: a pop-up spectacle to remember
Parisian style has swept the captial this autumn, with the opening of the Chanel exhibition at the Saatchi gallery and the new Dior pop-up store on Mayfair's Mount Street.
The French-inspired space features women's ready-to-wear, accessories, footwear and Dior's famous leather goods, deigned by Raf Simons for Autumn/Winter 2015-16.
Reminders of Dior's exquisite Parisian taste are everywhere, from the beautifully decorated rose pink changing rooms (a favourite colour of Christian Dior) to screen covered walls which showcase Dior's latest collections.
The lofty bright space is as beautiful as the crystal-encrusted sneakers and silver patent leather boots found within it. This is thanks to ornate decoration: Miroirs Gouttes by Hubert Le Gall and a sofa by Vladimir Kagan, and a Nudge table from Guy de Rougemont.
French fashions inside British architecture: this is surely a marriage made in shopping heaven.
