Ex Nihilo, perfumes to remember
Ex Nihilo was founded with the desire to bring the refined and unique spirit of French perfume back to the fore, imbuing each scent with unique tones thanks to expert technology, care and craft. When founders Olivier Royère, Sylvie Loday and Benoît Verdier began, their aim was to create perfumes that were precious and precise; a far cry from the usual array of 'luxury' scents available today.
The Ex Nihilo collection forms the cornerstone of their personalisation process, with nine scents which can be customised with the addition of one raw ingredient for a demi-bespoke fragrance. For the evening, we recommend Jasmin Fauve, a blend of jasmine and leather; for day Rose Hubris is a must, melding lychee, rose and patchouli. The personalisation programme makes for the perfect Christmas gift.

Culture Whisper readers are invited to add a personal touch to the Ex Nihilo fragrances, and learn more about the unique process at Harrods' Salon de Parfums. During the event, a member of the Ex Nihilo team will introduce you to the personalisation process and the luxurious Made with Love box (a case created with the same focus and made in Italy from mother of pearl and brass). Whilst discovering more about the unique perfume house and the experience of creating scents attendees will be able to enjoy an array of drinks and sumptuous macaroons.
