Vivienne Westwood X Cool Earth

Easily one of the most noble fashion collaborations 2014 has seen, Vivienne Westwood has designed a small range of tee-shirts for environmental charity, Cool Earth. Posed to spark another round of Anya Hindmarch, 'I Am Not a Plastic Bag' 2007, ethical frenzy, the tee-shirts feature two simple illustrations on white cotton round necks. These tee-shirts come in the wake of much campaigning from notorious activist and designer Vivienne Westwood. Indeed, from a woman who picked up her OBE from the Queen in no knickers, these seem sadly tame.
Nevertheless, at the root of these designs is a desire to spread awareness and raise money for the charity Cool Earth. Cool Earth works to protect the rainforest by repopulating the area with local people, thus ensuring a sustainable and productive relationship with the environment. The proceeds go towards rainforest protection in Cool Earth’s Ashaninka Project in the Ené Valley of Peru.
