Korean architecture has drastically changed in the wake of the global financial melt down. This new architecture exhibition in London showcases some of the radical solutions in contemporary urban design devised by award-winning young Korean architects.
Cass Gallery, London exhibition
The Cass gallery, part of London Metropolitan University presents a major new architecture show in east London, which tackles the problems of sustainability from small urban interventions to major plans. There’ll be high-tech and traditional experimentation; examples of private and institutional commissions, and Korean resources will be pushed to the limits.
Gold Lion winner at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2014, Hyungmin Pai, is the curatorial brain behind the show of Korea’s remarkable architectural environment.
Exhibition highlights
Look out for projects by Chae Pereira Architects, Joho Architecture, JYA-RCHITECTS, Wise Architecture, UTAA Company, D-Lim architects, Lokaldesign, IAEO Architekten, and Oujae Architects who all feature.
