The Original Sofa Co. has finally set up shop in London, following thirteen years spent lovingly hand-crafting and restoring furniture in the north east of England.
Specializing in fine leather sofas and chairs, The Original Sofa Company is an Aladdin’s cave of vintage classics and bespoke creations. What makes this company stand out is the amount of care that goes into making each artisanal piece. The Original Sofa Co. is one of the few remaining furniture makers to use time-honoured nineteenth century crafting techniques – and when you buy one of their much sought-after Signature sofas, you can expect that master craftsmen have spent over 120 hours bringing your piece to life. As founder, Dave Robinson, puts it, The Original Sofa Co. is “creating the exceptional”.
