100 Buildings 100 Years: Views of British Architecture since 1914, Royal Academy

A rather quiet exhibition of 100 buildings that have shaped British architecture and design is opening at the Royal Academy of Arts. With the furore surrounding the Anselm Kiefer exhibition in the Royal Academy of Arts collection, don’t miss the flurry of activity in the Burlington House Architecture Space.
With one building from every year since 1914, there is a tremendous variety to this Royal Academy of Arts exhibition, from Battersea Power Station to the De La Warr Pavilion, East Sussex which reflects the vast range of 20^th century tastes and sensibilities. Certainly not all of the buildings are divine; there are marmite architectural examples that are sure to provoke both adoration and disgust in equal amounts.
In collaboration with the Twentieth Century Society UK which seeks to protect examples of British architectural and design heritage, the selection of buildings celebrates a hundred years of campaigning by the society’s supporters. Prepare to be inspired and awestruck by the feats of British design over the last 100 years, even if not all of it is to your taste!
