The Tap Pack, Peacock Theatre

Tap dance re-energised by an Australian combo, The Tap Pack is guaranteed to have you swinging in your seat at the Peacock Theatre

The name, The Tap Pack, is an homage to the kings of swing, The Rat Pack of the 1960s, the most prominent members of which were Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.

These Australian artists draw their inspiration from the tap dancing of that era, complete with slick suits and sharp wit, but bring it right up to our times with a re-energised show, where tap dancing is very much king.

With a set depicting a bar and a live band on stage, the five dancers of The Tap Pack have already wowed Edinburgh when they appeared in the Festival Fringe there two years ago.

The local Wee Review wrote: ‘They dance on tables, they dance on stairs, they dance with canes and they dance with a precision and aplomb not always seen in Edinburgh Fringe dance acts.’

They sing, too, a medley ranging from Sinatra to Ed Sheeran, thus offering an irresistible combination in a show that’s sure to bring a feel-good glow to audiences.
