Kenneth MacMillan's masterful tale of love, greed and loss in dissolute 18th-century Paris, based on the famous Abbé Prévost novel, returns to the stage. With sumptuous, atmospheric designs by Nicholas Georgiadis and plum roles for principals and soloists, this is one of The Royal Ballet's best-loved works. A mouth-watering variety of casts includes Francesca Hayward and Marcelino Sambé, Natalia Osipova and Reece Clarke, and Marianela Núñez with La Scala's Roberto Bollé as the doomed lovers.
