Cadogan Hall holds a glittering Tchaikovsky-themed Christmas gala featuring ballet, live music and oodles of magic

Christmas is unthinkable without a touch of Tchaikovsky music, a few dancing snowflakes and a shape-shifting nutcracker… and Cadogan Hall provides all that and more in a seasonal gala that gathers ballet dancers and live musicians in what promises to be a magical evening for both children and adults.
There will be two performances of this Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Gala: at 6pm and 8:30pm, both running at about one hour with no interval. The first performance is targeted at smaller children and so will of necessity feel a little more relaxed than the later, more grown-up show, which is recommended for ages 7+.
So, what's on offer? Five dancers from Sophie Adams Ballet Company will perform 11 excerpts from The Nutcracker taking turns at dancing snowflakes, waltzing flowers and, of course, the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Prince.
Live music, including festive favourites alongside sections from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, will be provided by the Artisti Con Brio String Quartet.
A snowflake dancer will be in the foyer to greet arrivals before each performance and will be available for photo opportunities. Selfie with a living, breathing snowflake, anybody?
