balletLORENT - Rapunzel, Sadler's Wells

The classic Grimm's fairy tale of gets a mesmerising modern makeover with the return of balletLORENT’s sell-out production of Rapunzel. The darker elements of this children’s favourite are emphasised through a script by Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy and translated into ballet by internationally-acclaimed Liv Lorent. 
BAFTA-nominated actress Lesley Sharp narrates the tale, while the majestic dancers whisk you away to an ethereal land of heroic princes and... lustrous hair. The haunting score was penned by Doctor Who composer Murray Gold, and the costumes are the work of Games of Thrones wardrobe designer Michael Clapton.
The fun doesn’t stop on stage. As part of the Sadler’s Wells two-day family festival, the performance is enriched by a vast array of activities, including a family dance workshop and an interactive show for 2-5 year-olds.
