T’s November mixed bill sees the stage set for three visionary ballets from the past hundred years, including the eagerly awaited world premiere of talented young British choreographer David Dawson’s first work for the Royal Ballet.

In the first of three performances is Wayne McGregor’s Chroma, which holds as much appeal with audiences today as it did when it was premiered back in 2006, when it won McGregor an Olivier award. British minimalist architect John Pawson’s stark white set has consistently impressed audiences.  And if TheTelegraph is right, this is a piece that “gets more exciting, absorbing and downright dazzling every time you see it.”

Dutch National Ballet choreographer David Dawson joins forces once again with composer and electronic artist Greg Haines for his new piece The Human Seasons. We’re intrigued to see how this lives up to their previous work – particularly 2012’s ‘Day 4’, which was described by the Dutch Noordhollands Dagblad as “terrifying in a nice way”. With avant-garde stage design by German artist Eno Henze’s and the costume creations by Japanese ballerina-turned-costume designer YumikoTakeshima, we’re holding out high hopes.

The third and final dance of the bill comes from thecelebrated giant of the ballet world, the late British choreographer Kenneth MacMillan. His Rite of Spring, set to Stravinsky’s seminal score, will be a punchy ending to the night.
