The Glory of Christmas returns to the Barbican

The Glory of Christmas is back to spread the classical Christmas cheer at the Barbican Hall – featuring the likes of Handel, Schubert, and David Willcocks

Glory of Christmas at the Barbican
Since 1966, Raymond Gubbay have provided the best in classical music concerts in London and across the UK – and Christmas is their busiest time of year! Christmas concerts have become an embraced and expected tradition with over 100 performances given in the cold month of December alone. Now, it’s happening again with what looks to be their most exciting concert yet.

The London Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Concert Orchestra will be bringing the spirit of Christmas within the Barbican Hall.

They’ll be performing the standard carols such as Hark! The Herald Angels Sing and O Come All Ye Faithful and some classical tunes too, featuring the likes of George Frederic Handel and his Hallelujah Chorus as well as the compositions of David Willcocks and Charles Wood. John Pryce-Jones will be conducting.

The Glory of Christmas is vital for all lovers of Christmas and classical music (how could you possibly have one without the other?), and they’re only playing at the Barbican for one night only. Join in the festive musical cheer while you still can!
