Skyfall in Concert, Royal Albert Hall

Bond comes to life as Skyfall is screened with full orchestral accompaniment at the Royal Albert Hall

James Bond is coming to the Royal Albert Hall this October
The score of Skyfall sets the tone of the film from beginning to end. Experience the full grandeur with the World Premiere of Skyfall in Concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Discover the film like never before, as Thomas Newman’s BAFTA-winning original score is performed live by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra as the film is screened in high definition.

You see Bond sink into the water. His fate unknown. Is he dead? Is he alive? So many questions. So many emotions. Bond is more than a man: he symbolises the class, the confidence, the charm that a man should have; yet he was also mysterious, cold-hearted, and ruthless. You don't know how to feel about him. You're unsure of whether Bond is good guy. You're now wondering whether it's a good thing Bond is sinking into the water.

Then you hear a piano playing softly, as a hand drags Bond down. By the time Adele comes in, her voice gliding into your ears as she sings, 'this is the end', Bond is sinking deeper and deeper, as the ground consumes him and the opening credits begin.

With the chorus, the blue of the water becomes the red of blood. The scene change is accompanied by the introduction of drums. You now see Bond differently. Like the title song, he is a mixture of passion tinged with darkness and misery, and you begin to feel for him, your previous thoughts faded away and forgotten.

This World Premiere of Skyfall in Concert marks the second instalment in the James Bond Concert Series, and follows the sold-out success of 2017’s Casino Royale in Concert at the Hall.
