Eclectic Collections 3: Fairy Tale, The Forge
Here is another little local treat that we have discovered at a quirky little music and arts venue hidden away in Camden town called The Forge.
Here is another little local treat that we have discovered at a quirky little music and arts venue hidden away in Camden town called The Forge. It is a hub of culture that is worth investigating.
This concert is the third in a series by a chamber music group, called The Metier Ensemble, which groups together duos and trios from the twentieth century according to their geographical origins. This particular concert looks at twentieth-century music from the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Asia. The programme contains work by Czech composers Leoš Janáček and Josef Suk, Soviet Azerbaijani composer Fikret Amirov, and Ukranian Russian composer Nikolai Kapustin. It opens with a suite of song and dances and rounds off with a jazzy number.
If you are in the area after work or just passing by, then pop in and see this short little event to escape from busy city life for an hour.
