Maggie's Christmas Carol Concert
If you're looking to go to one of the many charity christmas carol concerts in London, cancer Support charity Maggie's is hosting a celebrity concert in the stunning cathedral of St Paul's.
Maggie's charity is hosting a Christmas carol concert on the 16th of December, in the awe-inspiring surrounds of St Paul's Cathedral.
The charity, aiming to provide support and palliative care for those suffering from terminal cancer, was founded in 1993 in aid of Maggie Keswick Jencks. The concert aims to raise funds towards growing their network of Maggie’s Centres in London, including their centre at St Bartholomew's Hospital.
There will be solo performances from mezzo soprano Dame Ann Murray, tenor Toby Spence and the St Paul’s Cathedral Consort Choir. The Manning Camerata Orchestra will also be performing in the stunning vaults of the cathedral. Actors Simon Callow and Dominic West will give readings, along with broadcaster and journalist Jeremy Paxman, as well as Maggie's Patron Janet Ellis.
Guests will be treated to warm chestnuts, gifts on every seat and hot chocolate to get them in the festive spirit. With all the traditional carols along with warming winter treats, the evening will be an enchanting way to celebrate the advent, and for a very good cause.
