Calling all film buffs & music lovers!
As the New Yorker's music critic Alex Ross observed in The Rest is Noise, an actress in a mid-century movie could hardly serve a cup of coffee 'without having fifty strings swoop in to assist her'. In a concert celebrating scores written for the big screen, this concert flaunts some of the most immersive orchestral music ever composed. Prepare to be s wept away by the strings from Bernard Herrmann ’s score for Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho or Nino Rota's theme for The Godfather .
Arranged by the conductor John Mauceri and performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, this concert will be world-class- do not miss out.
Ticket Price: £9-£39
