The Genius of Film Music 1960-1980, Royal Festival Hall

Calling all film buffs & music lovers!

As the New Yorker's music critic Alex Ross observed in The Rest is Noise, an actress in a mid-century movie could hardly serve a cup of coffee 'without having fifty strings swoop in to assist her'. In a concert celebrating scores written for the big screen, this concert flaunts some of the most immersive orchestral music  ever composed. Prepare to be s wept away by the strings from Bernard Herrmann ’s score for Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho or Nino Rota's theme for The Godfather

Arranged by the conductor John Mauceri and performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, this concert will be world-class- do not miss out.

Ticket Price:  £9-£39
