Institute of Imagination and Darcey Bussell bring Bittersuite's The Firebird Lab to London
Bittersuite has been selected by Darcey Bussell for a four-month residency at the Institute of Imagination, where they'll teach kids about empathy through their concept, The Firebird Lab.

Darcey Bussell has selected Bittersuite, a company that uses multi-sensory experiences to explore music and emotions, to take up a four-month cultural residency at London's Institute of Imagination's Imagination Lab.
Designed for kids aged 5-12, there will be family weekend activities and workshops in the week for schoolkids (as well as activities for adults), through Bittersuite's concept, The Firebird Lab.
The Firebird Lab aims to engage children on Stravinsky's classical piece, The Firebird, using a variety of multi-sensory activities, including workshops with perfumers, chefs and composers, with the aim of encouraging and exploring empathy, as well as decoding the different ways we express emotion – through touch and textures, smell, taste and gesture.
Bittersuite, who have honed their skills at a variety of venues including The Roundhouse, Rich Mix, Brooklyn Academy of Music and Royal Opera House, will be working their magic at the Imagination Lab in Lambeth from April 2019 through July 2019.
