Music may be the food of love, but there's real food to enjoy during this unusual recital by the virtuosic violinist Hugo Ticciati, for Spitalfields Winter Festival

The violin often feels like the most soulful of all instruments, and maybe that's because it so resembles the human voice in its songlike repertoire. And in the hands of the virtuoso player Hugo Ticciati, it's a thrilling instrument, capable of taking the timeless music of JS Bach and giving it a new spin, thanks to Ticciati's own embellishments.

Hugo Ticciati is the elder brother of the conductor Robin Ticciati, music director of Glyndebourne Festival Opera. Music runs in the family: his paternal grandfather Niso Ticciati was a composer. Hugo has his own festival, O/MODERNT, in Stockholm.

As part of Spitalfields Winter Festival, Ticciati will be playing for diners at the Disappearing Dining Club's evening. An aperitif, three-course dinner and lashings of Bach will be on the menu, but those with an appetite for music or supper will have to be quick.
