Angela Hewitt is one of the world's leading interpreters of JS Bach's keyboard works, and her Bach Odyssey is to be an impressively long and illuminating journey through his huge output that begins at Wigmore Hall with concerts on 25 Sep, 20 Jan and 10 June and is to continue over successive years. In the launch recital, preceded by a conversation at 6pm between the player and the writer Jessica Duchen, Hewitt begins her Odyssey with extraordinarily complex and exploratory works including the Fantasia in C minor and the great Fantasia San Fugue in A minor.
