Summer Film Nights with Electric Pedals, Southbank Centre

There's no shortage of outdoor screenings to choose from in London, but how often do you get to feel like you've really earned the payoff of a glitzy and dramatic romance, how many times have you worked to deserve to sing along to your favourite musicals?

For their season of Summer Film Nights, Southbank Centre has teamed up with Electric Pedals to give moviegoers a unique experience that asks for effort in return for rewards: hop on a bike, pedal away, and power the screening of your choosing.

The attractive freedom of Electric Pedals is that you can choose to just sit back with popcorn and let the others do the work for you, if you were so inclined. But where would be the fun in that?

For four balmy nights this summer, Summer Film Nights is offering an interactive film-watching experience by the river to add an active spin to your cinema trip. Head to Topolski for pizza and prosecco beforehand, or take a chance on Oh My Dog! for fancier fast food.

And best of all? Every Summer Film Nights screening is free.
