The Firmdale Hotels’ Cinema Clubs, are one of London’s best cinematic secrets. Spanning three venues across the capital -- take your pick from the Covent Garden Hotel on a Saturday, or either the Soho Hotel or at the Charlotte Street Hotel on a Sunday -- these in the know events can transform a standard cinema excursion into an intimate and decadent experience.
Even if you are a permanent resident, rather than a visitor to the capital you may know the Firmdale Hotel chain. These boutique institutions, maintained by award winning designer Kit Kemp and her husband, each house an excellent restaurant, along with wine courses and these clandestine film events. The deluxe appeal of the Cinema Club is bolstered with the a three-course meal (potentially with champagne!), which comes with the ticket price.
From classics to blockbusters, the club is shows broad spectrum to suit all tastes. Upcoming highlights include The Grand Budapest Hotel, the magically surreal creation of director extraordinaire Wes Anderson shown as part of the ‘Easter Film Club’ on the 27th April at 3.30pm. The film experience is enriched by a brunch or can be followed by a high tea. If the classics are more your thing, Hitchcockian subtlety will collide with the refined atmosphere of the ‘Cocktails and Classic Film Club’, when Dial M for Murder and Rear Window, play at 7.30 on the 12th and 19th of April respectively.  Or if you are a Jared Leto fanatic, take advantage of the Dallas Buyers Club showing on the 20th April. We recommend you ruminate over the film with a couple of cocktails in the elegant hotel bar afterwards.
