Joy, from Silver Linings Playbook director David O. Russell
Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper star in Silver Linings Playbook director David O. Russell's new film: Joy, in UK cinemas this January.
Yet another collaboration between Academy Award-winning Hollywood darling Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games) and Bradley Cooper (American Sniper), Joy is already surrounded by Oscar buzz. After all, Lawrence, Cooper, and Robert De Niro, who also stars in Russell's latest, have all been nominated for Academy Awards under his direction.
A biographical comedy-drama, Joy is based on the life of Joy Mangano, a struggling single mother of three who invented the “Miracle Mop” and worked hard to build her own business empire from scratch. We're particularly excited to see Lawrence in yet another leading role and rightly have our eyes pinned on Joy for the upcoming awards season.
