As the sun shines and cocktail hour calls, open air cinema in London is a definite must. With outdoor cinema screens popping up all over the capital, you're not short of choice for open air events. London pop up cinema curator Pop Up Screens is hosting a series of eclectic open air movies in six idyllic locations across the capital, so you can get your fix of summer entertainment.
The season commences with a series of screenings in the heart of Greenwich. Movie screenings to be hosted on the Greenwich Peninsula include John Travolta in old-time favourite Grease and 1985 scifi classic Back to the Future.
Big Screens in London
The series of outdoor cinema events will continue into August, making its way to Fulham, with a number of 80's classics, from Labyrinth to Dirty Dancing.
In Hammersmith, the open air cinema 2016 sees classics Ferris Bueller's Day off and Four Weddings and a Funeral screening in the idylls of Ravenscourt Park, perfect for a romantic picnic or evening out in the fresh air with friends.
The huge collection of films showing in London continues well into September and you can be sure there's a huge variety of open air cinemas to keep you rapt.
