Lucile Hadžihalilović (Innocence) returns with Evolution, a chilling film about a remote island, a mysterious medical treatment and a curious boy

Evolution, directed by Lucile Hadžihalilović
Lucile Hadžihalilović received acclaim her 2004 feature film Innocence and now she's returning with a film that will explore childhood mysteries, fantasies and fears.

Evolution takes place on a remote island inhabited solely by women and young boys. When the boys are all given a mysterious medical treatment, Nicolas is the only boy to question why. The film follows Nicolas as he tries to unravel the mysteries of the island.

It looks set to be an intriguing exploration of childhood and science, with Hadžihalilović's typically elegant touch.
