Dreamworks' new film The Boss Baby
Dreamworks' new arrival could be family fun... or as childish as the title character
Many of us have experienced sibling envy when a new baby arrives. Not so many,
however, have been led to believe that the noisy, smelly creature
that's devouring the parents' attention is in fact a secret
agent. Which apparently makes us less imaginative than Dreamworks.
But it's no knockoff of Stewie and Brian's antics from Family Guy; on the contrary, the Boss Baby hates dogs – so much so that he's on a mission to investigate why 'there's not enough love to go around' for babies. The answer: puppies.
Or at least, that's what his older brother is convinced he's doing.
The Boss Baby looks to be packed with gags, slapstick comedy, fast-paced action and nappy jokes. But it remains to be seen whether this will make it a fun family romp or simply as infantile as Alec Baldwin playing a baby.
