Culture Whisper members can meet director Alain Gomis and watch an early screening of Félicité, the story on a mission to save her son

Félicité
Hot from the New York Film Festival, a new film by director Alain Gomis is coming to London – a month ahead of schedule – for an exclusive screening to which Culture Whisper Gold members have been invited.

This Sunday at 6pm at the ICA, members are invited to watch Félicité (the Silver Bear winner at the Berlin Film Festival), followed by a Q&A with director Alain Gomis.

Set in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félicité offers a moving portrait of a brave lounge singer trying to save her son.

Félicité is a courageous, free-willed woman whose life is thrown into turmoil when her 14-year-old son suffers from an accident. Desperate to raise the funds to save him, Félicité sets out on a breakneck race through the busy, dirty streets of Kinshasa in a heady mix of music and broken dreams. The film is part of the London Film Festival.
