Eco-friendly alternatives to face wipes

These are the best eco-friendly alternatives to face wipes because, let's face it, our beauty regime should be clean come 2020

Eco-friendly alternatives to face wipes
The rise and rise of the face wipe alternative is not just something to be noticed - but celebrated. After all, we now know that the (sadly non-mythical) fatbergs that float below London's street level in the sewers are 80% wet wipe, and that a shocking ten million wipes are flushed each day.

This year, health chain Holland & Barrett announced that it would be halting all sales of wet wipes in an effort to limit the damage they cause to water systems. The Body Shop soon followed suit in a move that is to see wet wipes banned from each of its eight hundred stores by 2020. In a statement, The Body Shop said, 'This was a commercial decision that aligns with our commitment to reduce the impact we have on the environment. We are looking at a broader focus to take a responsible and circular approach with all materials.' And quite right, too.

Whilst we know that face wipes can be a time-effective and untaxing way of cleansing the face of grit and makeup, we've rounded up the superior alternatives that will eliminate any millennial (and appropriate) guilt about the state of our beautiful planet.
