Fucina restaurant, Marylebone
Hospitality pro Kurt Zdesar likes to put on a show - for his latest opening there's undulating walls and a full-scale fire pit...
As the founder of Ping Pong and the director of Nobu, it's no surprise that Kurt Zdesar likes to put on a show. And his latest outing, Fucina, joins the Marylebone set this October.
Over two floors, upstairs will focus on pizza and in-house-made pasta and, weirdly, has an undulating brick roof like a pizza oven. But downstairs is the real draw: a large wood-fired pit will roast whole suckling pig, lamb and boar. Cuts from that will be sold next door in the panetteria, to open later this year.
