On February 11th, the Rooftop Film club is holding a screening of About Time, Richard Curtis’ most recent film, amid the lush, secluded greenery of the Kensington Roof Gardens.

The film speaks for itself: About Time is a bright, cosy, optimistic Richard Curtis rom com which answers all the demands that any viewer might make of the director of Notting Hill, Love Actually and Four Weddings and a Funeral.

But as for the rooftop, Kensington Roof Gardens is a deluxe venue, formed of three themed gardens, one Moorish, one Tudor style and one in the style of an English woodland, that is set 6 floors, or 100 feet, above Kensington High Street. Anyone who remembers the scene in Notting Hill where Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts share a kiss in a private garden, will appreciate how perfect these gardens would be for a screening of a Richard Curtis movie.

The film will be screened in a heated marquee, so there’s no need to worry about sitting through the crisp February chill – and if it’s a clear night, sitting 100 feet above the street lights below, you might even be able to see the stars. How nice.

The Rooftop Film Club’s famously welcoming staff will be on hand with ample refreshments, so there’ll be nothing more for you to do than sit back and take in the film, the company and the view from the roof tops. Enjoy!
