Latitude festival, set in the lush pastures of Southwold’s Henham Park in Suffolk, offers the ideal backdrop for a local getaway to enjoy some music, theatre, comedy, literature, dance and more, and to experience that summer escape we’ve been hankering for.
Latitude
This year’s line-up features an amalgam of artists billed to feature in 2020 and some new names. English pop-rock band Bastille join the line-up to perform hits from their third album Doom Days released in 2019, alongside classic favourites Pompei and Bad Blood. Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit will bring their hybrid blend of Americana-meets-indie to the stage, performing big-hit songs such as It’s a Shame and My Silver Lining. Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi was also originally billed as a headline act, but has since pulled out, promising to perform at the 2022 festival instead.
Snow Patrol
Taking the prestigious Sunday afternoon slot are award-winning Scottish-Irish rock favourites Snow patrol. In celebration of their 25th anniversary the band will be playing tracks from their reworked album which offers an edgier take on their classic melancholy anthems.
Latitude regulars will know the festival is known as much for the comedy, literature and dance as for the music, however the organisers are keeping their line-up topline at this stage – so keep an eye out for more festival updates in the coming weeks.
With so much squeezed into just four days, Latitude 2021 offers to be your one-stop-shop for culture in the great outdoors this summer.
