Arriving in the UK six years ago, Kate Spade New York first appeared in Covent Garden before opening three larger stores. Her empire has continued to grow at a ferocious rate and this month she opened her largest in Europe, settled snuggly between fellow fashionable neighbours Burberry and J.Crew.
Covering two floors, the new store has everything you would expect to find from Kate Spade, including the 2016 spring ready-to-wear collection inspired by the 'first blush of spring', shoes, costume jewellery, childrenswear and home accessories. The upper level is designed to resemble a New York apartment, with an extended patio displaying the famous New York skyline, decorated with fixtures created by London born photographer Poppy De Villeneuve and her equally talented sister, illustrator Daisy Devilleneuve.
The store is more than just a branch of America in London. To help us Brits feel at home, the Yankee brand is offering a selection of British-themed accessories alongside its playful collections. Look out for the range of teacup and teapot-shaped purses and bags - and of course all the imagery for the 2016 collections, featuring quintessential London model Jourdan Dunn.
Spring is indeed in the air on Regent Street this month -- and we can't wait to look the part.
