Lena Dunham Not That Kind of Girl tour hits London: and tickets sold out in minutes to see her in conversation with Caitlin Moran at the Southbank
Lena Dunham's Not That Kind of Girl tour hits London next month: book Wed 27th Aug at 10am sharp for tickets to see her in conversation with Caitlin Moran at the Southbank on Friday 31st October, says Laura Tennant
The brilliantly funny and brilliantly clever Caitlin Moran is the author of How to Be a Woman and How to Build a Girl and has singlehandedly rebranded feminism in Britain for smart, sassy, sexy girls. On the other side of the pond, the similarly risk-taking and revolutionary Lena Dunham has been pulling off something along the same lines – though perhaps without Moran’s irresistible campaigning vigour and vim. Now these two cult icons of contemporary girlitude are due to go head to head in conversation at the Royal Festival Hall, talking about, as Dunham puts it:
'Wonderful nights with terrible boys and terrible days with wonderful friends, about ambition and the two existential crises I had before the age of twenty. About fashion and its many discontents. About publicly sharing your body, having to prove yourself in a meeting full of fifty-year-old men, and the health fears (tinnitus, lamp dust, infertility) that keep me up at night.'
Tickets, which include a copy of Dunham’s book Not that Kind of Girl, go on sale to Southbank members at 10am on Wednesday 27th August, and to non-members at 10am on 28th August. Take your daughter, niece or goddaughter and we guarantee you’ll leave shocked, aghast, invigorated, inspired and very likely all four at once.
