Jimmy Garcia’s Secret Garden is our spot for adventure-seeking foodies, serving up traditional rustic fare in a discrete Clapham location.
Tucked away above a pub in Clapham North, with immersive design by Firecracker Fireworks, Jimmy Garcia's Secret Garden will be running throughout summer from 25th April to 31st August.
Pop-up entrepreneur Jimmy Garcia invites diners to immerse themselves in the best of local British produce, serving up intricate small bites (or bigger BBQ bites) and a sumptuous drinks menu. Sundays see their return of ‘Slow Down Sundays’ replete with Sunday roast meats, lounge music and bespoke hangover cocktails to cure those beating headaches.
Garcia has already excelled himself at the sold out winter pop up, The Lodge and recently appeared on This Morning’s cooking show. He takes pride in his produce and ensures it comes from tried-and-tested local sources.
'Rick the gamekeeper' will be providing Jimmy’s stock of game to be slow roasted or barbecued, whilst Chef Louie’s family supply fresh veg from their Dymmock Farm near Brighton. Even the chorizo tells a story, imported by Jimmy’s dad from his hometown of Austria and made by third generation butchers.
The sample menu includes such inventive dishes as Wild Garlic Soup with a crispy Poached Truffle Egg, followed by a Chorizo and Guniea Fowl ballotine or (for the more adventurous) a Smoked Salmon Sundae Ice Cream with Fish Skin Wafer.
Now an established name on the pop-up dining scene in London, Garcia’s latest project looks set to be his one of his best yet. As the nights get warmer, it’s unlikely Jimmy’s Secret Garden will stay secret for too long, so get yourself down to 409 Clapham Road where a surprise enchanted world awaits and a surfeit of delicious sounding bites and drinks.
