And if you’re after something a little less chaotic, there’s one for you too. Citadel Festival is the latest and smartest edition to London’s music calendar, brought to East London by the creators of Wilderness Festival and Superfly, themselves the co-creators of American calendar highlights Bonnaroo and Outside Lands. Fusing art, talks, music and food, Citadel is a day-long affair with a first class line up and the atmosphere of long Sunday lunch party, spilled out into the garden.
Headlining this year are low-profile indie boys turned festival veterans FOALS, promising high energy rock sounds against a backdrop of Citadel's characteristically ethereal landscape. Expect flowery head-dresses, spilled cider and clamouring to the front of the stage.
Alongside more acts yet to be announced, you can also expect a host of other treats. If you can't get away to a 'real' festival this year, make sure you celebrate the season properly at London's own bohemian oasis.
