House of Peroni returns to Lincoln’s Inn Fields this October, this time inspired by Peroni’s hometown: the city of Rome.
Guests can explore the four-storey Georgian townhouse with each of its floors transformed through multi-sensory installations by Italian New Wave designers, artists and architects. A series of master-classes will also be available, including The Art of Chocolate, held by artisan Roman chocolatier Fabrizo de Mauro and Pasta Fresca where guests will learn all the tricks of the fresh pasta trade. Odette Toilette will be on hand to instruct guests on the Profumo di Roma, and cinephiles can feast on Paolo Sorrentino's The Great Beauty .
The house holds three individual bars, which are run by mixologist Federico Riezzo, who uses cutting-edge mixology methods to showcase his beautiful creations. The top floor holds the restaurant, run by culinary collective Bottega Wapping, which offers an inventive yet traditional menu that uses regional Roman ingredients. Expect the likes of ‘arzilla’ (skate and broccoli soup) and ‘abbacchio’ (rack of baby lamb). However, if you’re looking for something a bit more casual, then street food is on offer each Friday at the Mercato Romano. London’s top Italian street vendors, such as Tongue ‘n’ Cheek and the Belpassi Bros, will congregate on the terrace, accompanied by DJs sampling contemporary Italian tracks.
